The Opportunity
As the Works Team Leader you will be responsible for the delivery of and meeting the state-controlled roads network maintenance obligations via the Road Maintenance Performance Contract (RMPC).

Qualifications

  • Cert III Civil Construction – Plant Operations (Essential)
  • White Card - General Safety Induction (Essential)
  • Possess and maintain current C Class Driver’s License (Essential)
  • Cert IV Civil Construction - Supervision (Desirable)
  • Traffic Control and Traffic Management (Desirable)
  • HR License and various plant tickets (RII unit code)
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable)

Skills (Essential)

  • Contract Administration
  • Staff Management
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, procedures and legislative requirements

Experience

  • Leading an outdoor workforce engaged in delivering construction and maintenance services (Essential)
  • Coordinating road maintenance projects and programs (Essential)
  • Experience in a Local Government (Highly regarded)
  • Overseeing the administration of an RMPC (Desirable)

General Salary Information

Level 4 $84,397 per annum plus superannuation.

Pre-employment Screening

Pre-employment screening includes Medicals, Drug and Alcohol Testing, and Criminal History Checks to ensure capability to perform the inherent requirements of the role.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements 

Applicants must be able to safely and competently carry out strenuous labouring and manual handling activities.  The position will require the employee to carry out physical tasks which may include manual handling, repetitive bending, kneeling, twisting and/or squatting, lifting, working in confined spaces, and working at heights.
