Are you an experienced planner looking to make an impact in a vibrant and growing community? The City of Karratha is seeking a Senior Statutory Planner to join our dynamic Planning Services team. In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and timely statutory planning services, working on complex planning applications, and contributing to strategic development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and implement statutory planning strategies, policies, and development approvals.
• Assess complex development applications, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide expert advice on planning matters, ensuring compliance with local and state planning legislation.
• Assist in the development and refinement of planning schemes, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare reports for Council and the Joint Development Assessment Panel.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in land use planning or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant planning experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of planning legislation and development processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
