The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Coordinator Corporate Planning and Performance to coordinate the production of Council's key strategic planning and reporting documents including the Council Plan, Annual Plan, departmental Service Plan and Annual Report.

In this role, you will coordinate the collation and submission of material for adherence to all legislative planning and reporting requirements, including the Local Performance Reporting Framework. You will also provide quality and informative advice and services to directors, managers and employees in collaboration with the Manager People, Culture and Performance, whilst driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, maintain and enhance Council's Corporate Planning and Reporting systems.
• Compile and edit the quarterly Organisational Performance report on the progress of the Council Plan actions for Council.
• Compile and present the quarterly report to the Executive Leadership Team.
• Further develop performance measures for each service and establish a reporting mechanism and dashboard within Council's corporate planning and reporting systems.
• Coordinate the production of Council's Annual Report, including collating all material, editing, assisting with the design of the Report by legislative timeframes and formal presentation to Council.
• Commission and coordinate the Annual Community Survey.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have the following:

• Tertiary qualification in business, management or related discipline together extensive experience in performance management and improvement frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in Local Government Corporate Reporting Requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to engage, inspire and motivate a range of stakeholders and staff in the development of Corporate Planning and Reporting requirements.
• Highly developed analytical and investigative skills enabling the formulation of visionary Service Planning.
• Demonstrated advisory capacity regarding consultation methods with key stakeholders.
• Experience in implementing change management, continuous improvement tools and processes and education programs within an organisation.
