Council is implementing the largest infrastructure upgrade across the city in its history. Funded by the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program, an exciting opportunity exists for an urban forest planner/project arborist to lead urban forest asset management across a number of projects. The position is full time for a 3-year term and will be responsible for pre-planning, project impact assessment, tree protection approval and auditing to ensure the planned works enhances the urban forest and minimises any adverse effects on tree canopy cover and biosdiversity.

The ideal candidate will have experience contributing to mutli-disciplinary teams, minimum AQFLevel 5 Arboriculture and QTRA/TRAC registered. High level negotiation/influencing skills and extensive experience with tree survey and AIA preparation, tree protection and project supervision is desirable.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $100,949 gross per annum
+ 11.5% superannuation 
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary 
+ annual award increase
