The role

Are you a recent Civil Engineering graduate looking to utilise your knowledge and commence your career in local government?

Working in our Engineering Unit you will develop project designs and stakeholder approvals for a range of Civil Infrastructure projects including roads, intersections, drainage, bridges, dams, sports facilities and others.

You will undertake detailed site investigations and engineering calculations to determine suitable solutions to existing Civil Infrastructure issues, prepare written reports, assist with scoping of future civil infrastructure projects, and provide information to the broader organisation on technical matters.

You will work with the City’s Design Engineering team to gain experience and provide support to our community and our civil infrastructure.

About You

To be successful in this varied position, you will have completed your Civil Engineering qualification as recognised by the Institution of Engineers (Australia).

  • Knowledge of engineering design principles
  • Computer based engineering software,
  • Knowledge of and the ability to use modern survey equipment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Enjoy working in a team environment.

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
