About the role:

Council is seeking an application from an enthusiastic, experienced and suitably qualified person to join our team in the position of Asset Management Specialist.

Joining the Assets & Infrastructure team you will be responsible for participating in the delivery of a wide variety of asset management services, developing and implementing projects, contributing to the development of Council’s annual infrastructure program, contributing to the development of asset management plans, and participating in the valuation of Council’s assets. 

This is a permanent full-time position, 5 days per week, based at our Wedderburn office, with flexible working arrangements available.

Band 6 salary range $89,923.60 to $97,414.20 per annum pro-rata plus employer superannuation.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in an engineering, accounting, or relevant experience.
  • Asset management experience and knowledge of local government infrastructure asset management and valuation processes, procedures and practices.
  • Efficient written communication skills with demonstrated ability to produce high quality reports, executive submissions, policies, standard procedures and correspondence with members of the public.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to use relevant software e.g. asset management systems, database management, spreadsheets, word processing, scheduling and computer based estimating.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills and abilities.
