THE ROLE

Reporting to the Manager Engineering, the Team Leader Infrastructure Development plays a crucial role in ensuring development proposals meet high standards and comply with regulations across the Shire. This includes:

  • Establishing and implementing infrastructure design standards.
  • Undertaking cross inspections to ensure consistency and compliance across the team and on site.
  • Contribute to Council committees.
  • Handle confidential negotiations with contractors.
  • Support risk management efforts.
  • Other tasks as needed.

ABOUT YOU

  • You bring an extensive expertise in civil engineering, specialising in assessing and managing infrastructure development applications.
  • You excel in evaluating design documentation, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • With strong interpersonal skills, you effectively communicate with stakeholders and navigate regulatory landscapes.
  • Committed to safety and compliance, you uphold Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering is essential and experience in local government is desirable.
  • You are ready to contribute significantly to Moira Shire Council's infrastructure development initiatives.
