About the Job

There is an exciting oppurtunity with the Asset Planning for a Supervisor Mechanical Workshop . This position manages and conducts the efficient repair and maintenance of Shire’s large and diverse fleet, mechanical plant and equipment, as well as, supervising workshop staff, contractors and resources to accomplish repair and servicing tasks.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide training and mentoring for the workshop staff and apprentices.
• Regularly liaise with the Manager Asset Planning, Works Supervisors and Store persons
• Co-ordinate the workshop activities to provide efficient, effective scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for all plant, equipment and light vehicles.

This is a permanent full-time role, working 85 per fortnight.  

About you 

In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:

• Trade Certificates as a heavy-duty mechanic or equivalent.
• Strong communications and time management skills
• Experience supervising staff.

Salary: $122,065.96 including overtime, per annum
