About the Opportunity

Council has an exciting opportunity within our Projects and Engineering team for an experienced Project Manager. Based at our Portland office, the Strategic Project Manager has a key role in the successful governance and delivery of a variety of projects.

Reporting to the Manager – Projects and Engineering, the Strategic Project Manager is responsible for providing expertise in day-to-day project management as well as developing projects and helping set the direction for project management into the future.

What you need to Thrive

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management and/or Civil Engineering with relevant experience and post graduate qualifications; or extensive (10+ years) experience relating to both project governance and project management of a diverse range of large-scale community asset projects.
  •  A well-developed appreciation for the complexity of delivering large scale community asset projects in a government context.
  • A commitment to Leading and supporting continued growth and development of project management capability across Council
