We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Senior Engineer - Stormwater & Waterways, where you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our drainage and waterway infrastructure.

As the Senior Engineer - Stormwater & Waterways, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and maintenance of stormwater systems and waterways. You will ensure that our drainage infrastructure is efficient, sustainable, and capable of protecting our community from flooding and environmental degradation. Your responsibilities will include managing planning initiatives related to stormwater infrastructure upgrades, erosion control, water quality management, and habitat restoration.

This role isn’t just about engineering – it’s about preserving and improving our natural and built environments. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions, address complex challenges, and contribute to the long-term resilience of our water infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) and eligibility for corporate membership of Engineers Australia / Professionals Australia.
  • Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ), or attainment of RPEQ within 6 months of appointment.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in drainage engineering and strategic asset management relevant to the Australian context.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of stormwater and waterways engineering and planning principles including knowledge of requirements of Australian Standards (ARR), State Government Department (DTMR, RDMW), as they relate to drainage and foreshore infrastructure planning.
