About The Opportunity

As the Mechanical Team Leader, you will lead the delivery of high quality water and wastewater service to the community in accordance with regulatory guidelines and Water Services Customer Service Standards.  You will implement best practices in the mechanical and electrical discipline for the operation, maintenance and asset management of water and wastewater facilities and ensure that all operational and maintenance activities are undertaken in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in supervising staff in a multi-disciplinary environment with sound knowledge and experience relative to the Water and Wastewater industry at a team leader level.
  • High-level knowledge of water and sewerage facilities, including a working knowledge of critical infrastructure and control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with a sound understanding of Water and Wastewater Asset Management Programs and the ability to implement asset management programs within Water Services.
  • Sound level of oral and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of internal and external parties.
  • Ability to implement workflows and field reporting systems and to maintain a high attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills in the use of computer and industry software (knowledge and the ability to use Microsoft Office, other associated software and Council applications as appropriate).
  • Possession of or ability to obtain all the relevant functional and safety qualifications/tickets to perform all associated duties.
  • Trade and Post Trade qualifications and competencies to the level of the position.
  • Knowledge of traffic management.
  • Possession of a current manual open Class ‘C’ Drivers licence.
  • Highly regarded - Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or above
  • Desired - Knowledge of traffic management
