Engineering and Project Officer (2 years)

Circular Head Council is seeking to appoint a 2 year fixed term contract as an Engineering and Projects Officer.

If you would like to develop your skills in public infrastructure design and project management then this role is for you!

Duties include assist with the provision of quality engineering design, assist in delivery of project budget estimates/plans, including future budget forecasts, to inform Council’s 10 year plan.,. In conjunction with Manager Projects Works and Services and Manager Engineering and Projects monitor Council’s Transport, Stormwater and Solid Waste Capital project programme, including quality assurance, financial expenditure, timeframes and asset management components.

This is a varied position, and you will also need the skills to assist in day-to-day engineering related enquiry management, work well under pressure and have great attention to detail.

You will need:

• Current Driver’s License
• Experience and/or tertiary or equivalent qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or related field
• White Card
• Experience in use of engineering software such as AutoCAD, MapInfo, Civil3d.
• Well-developed computer application skills with Microsoft Office package

The package:

• Wages as per Council’s enterprise agreement
• Remuneration review on completion of successful probation
• Guaranteed 5% increase in 2025
• 11.5% superannuation
• A 19 day month
