About the opportunity

We have an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join our Section7.11 Drainage Design team within our Asset Design section. We are looking for an engineer with extensive experience, designing precinct scale stormwater management infrastructure, including  water-sensitive urban design and flood mitigation works.

This role will deliver all required design outcomes, and coordinate design work with adjoining development and relevant stakeholders. 

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field or Civil Engineering Certificate/Associate Diploma together
    with extensive experience
  • Solid post-qualification experience in the survey, investigation and design of stormwater drainage
    infrastructure and estimates
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and extensive design experience with CAD, 12D and water engineering
    applications such as DRAINS, HEC-RAS, RAFTS, MIKEII, TUFLOW and MUSIC
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ability to work within a team environment
  • Current class C drivers licence.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $2,011.56 per week
  • 35-hour working week
