About the role

As a crew member you will be responsible for the delivery of construction and maintenance of traffic and direction signs and devices. You will have experience in truck driving in a civil works environment and be able to provide minor construction of bridges, wharves and signs. You enjoy working in a team environment.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training Card
  • SafeWork NSW White Card
  • Current Class MR drivers licence
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in truck operation associated with civil works
  • Demonstrated experience in the erection and maintenance of Council's signage assets
  • Willingness to perform labouring duties and work in a team situation
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff and the public
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation and maintenance of Sedimentation and Erosion Control measures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and commitment to, Work Health & Safety Principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and commitment to, Environmental Management Principle.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $57.1k - $65.9k plus 11.5% superannuation
  • This is a permanent full time role
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • This role is located at a Central Coast Council depot
  • Successful candidates may be required to have vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity.

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
