About the Technical Manager Aggregates Role: Working collaboratively with Territory Sales Managers and Production Teams in providing value to customers in terms of specialist technical support, advice and product innovation.


Training and educating internal stakeholders to optimise raw material usage, product consistency and production performance. Customer Relationships: Working closely with Territory Sales Managers to build strong customer relationships by offering technical advice, innovative solutions, and training. Liaison and Reviews: Regularly communicating with Territory Sales Managers and customers throughout projects, and participating in post-project reviews. Promotion of Technical Capabilities: Actively promoting technical capabilities to both internal and external stakeholders. Training: Providing technical training to internal teams to optimize raw material usage, product consistency, and production performance. Collaboration: Effectively collaborating with internal stakeholders like Quarry Managers and Geologists to enhance productivity outcomes and quarry reserves.


Product Specifications and Audits: Assisting production staff in meeting product specifications through effective lot control processes and technical plant audits. Customer Communication: Providing timely information to customers on product or process changes, addressing performance issues, and resolving concerns promptly. Raw Material Monitoring: Monitoring raw material performance and consistency, reporting any non-conformances. Compliance and Registrations: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining quarry registrations with TMR. Revenue Generation: Identifying opportunities to leverage technical capabilities for revenue-generating activities. Contract Review: Conducting technical reviews to support sales activities and ensure that testing costs are clearly understood. Professional Expertise: Sharing product expertise within professional environments like industry and standards committees.


Professional Development: Engaging in continual professional development activities. Core/Chip Storage: Managing core/chip storage in collaboration with the Development Manager. Background and Experience required: A degree or diploma (e.g. Civil/ Materials Engineering, Chemistry/Geology Science) or Aggregate/ Concrete Technology, or the equivalent industry experience.
