We are currently seeking applications for a Labourer to join the Parks/Irrigation team. Applications close Wednesday, 2 October 2024 at 5:00pm.

Council is seeking applications to fill the role of Labourer within the Parks section to assist with the maintenance of Council parks, gardens, public open spaces and irrigation systems by undertaking general labouring and truck driving duties as directed by their immediate supervisor.

About the position

This position is suited for someone who enjoys the outdoors and maintaining gardens and open spaces. The successful applicant will be required to safely operate plant and equipment including mowers, line trimmers, leaf blowers, hedgers etc. This will include the completion of plant defect reports and routine scheduled maintenance as necessary. The Labourer will also be required to use initiative, work efficiently and effectively to achieve set goals. A requirement of this position is for the Labourer to actively contribute to the design, installation, operation and maintenance of Council’s irrigation systems.

The gross fortnightly wage for this position is $2,461.55 including Construction Allowance.
