Trades Assistant

Temporary Full-Time (2 years) | Based at Esk

As Trades Assistant you will assist the fabrication and mechanical tradespeople in conducting repairs and maintenance of Council’s fleet, mechanical equipment and other Council assets within the Operations Department of Team Somerset.

To be successful in the role, you will require:

• Demonstrated experience working in a mechanical or fabrication workshop environment.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and knowledge of workshop procedures.
• Sound interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks and follow instructions.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
