THE POSITION:
Internal facing role to manage minor building projects and review all applications for funding and inclusion in the future planned building program. Principal building contact for minor buildings and any others not overseen by the Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide project management leadership, direction, and training on building projects
  • Organise regular meetings with internal clients to understand ideas for future building projects
  • Work with the clients to develop project scope and brief for proposed building projects in accordance with AlburyCity’s
    Project Management Framework (PMF)
  • Act as ‘gatekeeper’ by reviewing the project briefs at the PMF Initiate Stage and make recommendations on their inclusion in the future building program
  • Assist clients in submitting grant applications for external funding of approved building projects
  • Work with the Assets Team to ensure there is a comprehensive Asset Management Plan and budget for each property
  • Work with Council’s Design Coordinator and organise the transfer of major projects with a budget more than $0.25M
  • Develop PMF documentation to support minor project with a budget less than $0.25M
  • Establish PMF project team for all minor building projects
  • Provide an initial review of project briefs for new initiatives developed by business units and make recommendations
    to the Supervisor on their inclusion in the building program
  • Develop project designs and budgets for minor projects at the PMF Plan Stage in conjunction with the internal clients
    and designers
  • Assist internal clients in the tender or quotation of minor building works in accordance with AlburyCity policy and
    ensure that the works are satisfactorily completed to a high standard
  • Manage the physical, human and financial resources to deliver cost quality outcomes within adopted budget parameters
  • Undertake the Complete Stage of all minor project and review lessons learnt with the Project Management Officer
  • Assist the Supervisor in the planning and budget estimation for cyclical works
  • Maintain PMF dashboard and variations for budget, time, and scope
  • Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee’s skill, competence, and training
  • Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS
  • Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day-to-day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity’s Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct
