Operations Manager Whitsunday Coast Airport

Location - Whitsundays Coastal Airport
Full Time – Fixed Term 4 Year Contract
Base Salary - $140,000 to $160,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, efficient and organised Operations Manager Whitsunday Coast Airport to manage and be responsible for the compliant operations of the Whitsunday Regional Council’s Airports and Aerodromes and ensuring effective, safe and efficient management of Council’s objectives.

 As the Operations Manager you will ensure that the airports and aerodromes landing areas meet Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and Office of Transport Security (OTS) requirements.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the quality, safety and environment obligations and responsibilities, while also leading, motivating, developing and supporting Airport staff, encouraging a culture focused on Council’s corporate values, customer service, safety, security and continuous improvement. 

As the Operations Manager you will also implement the operational aspects of the business for the Airports and Aerodromes in conjunction with the Director Commercial Businesses.

Our ideal candidate is highly organised, has an acute attention to detail with the ability to prioritise urgent tasks, together with the ability to work with a wide range of key stakeholders to provide a superior level of service across the organisation.
