This position manages council’s waterway health monitoring programs, communicates findings and priorities and advocates for improved waterway and catchment management throughout the Blue Mountains.   The position provides expert advice and delivers projects and programs to support the transition to a Water Sensitive Blue Mountains.

This position requires a degree in environmental science or similar, at least 2 years’ industry experience in environmental science or environmental management, demonstrated experience in water quality and aquatic macroinvertebrate monitoring, science communication, project management and remote area fieldwork, and reasonable physical fitness.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $56,180 gross per annum
 +11.5% superannuation 
 + performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary 
 + annual award increase
