About the Role

This position will lead the professional delivery of high-quality service, repair and maintenance of Horsham Rural City Council's diverse fleet. This includes a strong focus on the safe, economical, efficient and reliable management of the Council's plant and equipment assets.

Your key responsbilities will be:

  • Oversee the internal fleet maintenance program for Horsham Rural City Council (HRCC).
  • Collaborate with other teams to minimise disruption to HRCC projects and programs.
  • Perform service and maintenance on cars, trucks, road equipment, and other machinery.
  • Ensure all small, motorised equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining a cost-effective, responsive service workshop that supports HRCC's overall operations

About You

You will have a formal Trade Automotive (Mechanic) qualification that meets or exceeds Australian standards. Proven experience in managing a busy maintenance workshop, handling a wide range of heavy plant, equipment and vehicles is desirable.
