Salary: $108,609.01 - $119,007.71 + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance and 11.5% Super + Vehicle Allowance or Leaseback Vehicle

ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of the position is to investigate complex and significant infrastructure related matters, including (but not limited to) internally and externally initiated enquiries, requests, concerns, complaints, and infrastructure related improvement initiatives. The position operates as a case manager, responsible for managing assigned matters from inception through to completion, until appropriately addressed / resolved.

Key responsibilities of the position include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Gathering, interpreting and analysing relevant information, to diagnose problems and issues, and determine respective causes.
  • Identifying and developing feasible solutions to address / resolve identified problems and issues.
  • Overseeing execution of the required works, including managing internal / external stakeholders and residents, and presenting on progress / outcomes to relevant parties.
  • Leading and/or contributing to presentations, meetings and discussions, on assigned matters.
  • Assisting with infrastructure related improvement initiatives and providing technical advice / input on infrastructure projects and matters.

ABOUT YOU

Our desired candidate will possess the following:

  • University Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in investigating and resolving complex and significant infrastructure planning / design problems and issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including managing scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communication, risk, procurement, and stakeholder aspects of infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading meetings and discussions, with internal staff and external stakeholders, including residents.
  • Demonstrated high level problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills, including communicating clearly, concisely, and in a manner appropriate to the audience. 
  • Attention to detail and a desire to deliver work to a high standard.
  • Ability to work autonomously, including taking initiative, making decisions, taking ownership for your work, and getting results.
