The Opportunity
The Labourer is responsible for undertaking of a range of horticultural duties
as directed including the maintenance of Council’s parks assets and the
operation of horticultural plant and equipment.

• Operate of a range of horticultural plant and equipment
in Councils parks, gardens and cemeteries;
• As part of the Parks and Open Space team, carry out
maintenance to park assets;
• Complete allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames; and
• Other duties as directed

About Yourself
A person in this position will need to hold a relevant Certificate II in
Horticulture, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is
also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have:
• Current Queensland C Class Licence. “MR” licence (Preferred or
willing to obtain).
• OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card (Preferred or
willing to obtain)

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading
You will receive 17.5% leave loading on top of your base rate of pay, while
you are on Annual Leave.

Additional Allowances
This position will also receive additional allowances including:
• On Call Allowance - applicable on call allowances as per Award
• Locality Allowance - Dependent on location and dependants
