The Opportunity
The Labourer is responsible for providing a full range of duties to ensure the
efficient and effective functioning of the Works Department in the delivery of
programmed works in the Western Downs Regional Council area. This role
encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as
directed by Council. The ones include include:
• Providing a high level of labouring skills in the environment of civil
construction and maintenance.
• Undertaking traffic controller duties as required.

About Yourself
A person in this position will need to have relevant knowledge and
experience in the various aspects of Civil Construction and Maintenance
Works, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also
highly desirable for the successful candidate to have:
• current C Class Driver's Licence;
• Work Health and Safety Construction Induction White Card;
• knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)
and its application; and
• current HR/MR Driver's Licence.
