Uralla Shire Council is seeking two Kitchen Hands to join the team at our residential aged care facility. These positions provide evening coverage across seven days per week and play an important role in supporting the nutritional wellbeing of our resident

The Opportunity

Uralla Shire Council is seeking two part-time Kitchen Hands to join our Community Services team. Working within our aged care facility, you will assist with meal preparation, service and kitchen operations, helping to ensure residents receive high-quality meals in a safe, welcoming environment

These positions will work a roster of seven shifts per fortnight, providing coverage across Monday to Sunday, with shifts scheduled from 2:45pm to 7:00pm.

Your duties will include assisting with meal preparation and service, maintaining dining areas, cleaning kitchen facilities and equipment, supporting food safety requirements and working closely with the Cook to meet residents' nutritional needs

The Candidate

You are a reliable and positive team player who enjoys working in a hospitality, kitchen or aged care environment. You take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and customer service, and you understand the importance of treating residents with dignity, respect and care.

You will bring strong organisational skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues while contributing to a positive dining experience for residents.

Remuneration

Salary:  $31.95 per hour + 10% and shift/weekend penalties as applicable

Award: Local Government, Aged, Disability, and Home Care (state) Award
