Are you a passionate and experienced accounting professional? We're looking for a dedicated and qualified individual to join our team as a Financial Accountant.

About the role:

The Financial Accountant role assists in the accounting functions of Council, including financial analysis, statutory compliance, taxation duties, preparation of internal and external financial reports, end of year reporting, budgeting and continuous improvement.

This position presents an exciting opportunity to draw on your previous experience within the accounting field and work on a wide variety of accounting tasks within a small rural council.

This is a full time role and is based in our Wedderburn office.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

· a sound knowledge of financial practices and processes

· experience working within an accounting or financial management role

· experience in the operation of financial information systems

· an appropriate qualification in accounting / or working towards

· strong computing skills and knowledge

· the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively as part of a team

· proven time management skills.
