The Role:

An opportunity exists for a confident and engaging Events Partnerships Officer to join the Events Unit, building the event calendar through the funding and acquisition of major events.

This role will manage the Tourism Events Grant Program and acquire major events that deliver strategic outcomes for the City of Ballarat.

Recent major event acquisitions include White Night, Cold Chisel and School Sports Australia.

About You:

We are seeking a committed individual who can work cooperatively and positively to lead the identification and acquisition of major events to Ballarat, manage funding programs, and facilitate the ongoing contract management of events, further growing the yield and outcomes of events.

Reporting to the Events Manager applicants should be able to demonstrate experience of;

  • Experience attracting and/or collaborating with major events.
  • Experience managing contracts with major events.
  • Experience in the events industry with a demonstrated understanding of the regulatory and safe work practices associated with the sector.
  • Provide concierge support to assist event organisers to implement their events and increase benefit to the broader industry.

Relevant experience in grants administration, event acquisition or other relevant area is highly desirable.
