The position provides support to the Landfill Services Supervisor in the day to day management of the Recycle/Transfer Station. The individual will supervise the Recycle/Transfer Station Plant Operator/Labourers to ensure the team delivers an effective service to customers and ensuring compliance with all safety systems.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

  1. Highly developed skills and extensive experience in the operation of heavy construction plant including track loaders, waste compactors and excavators including a working knowledge of plant maintenance practices
  2. Sound knowledge of waste and landfill operational requirements
  3. Developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees and customers
  4. Demonstrated substantial experience in landfill operations
  5. Demonstrated experience in leading a team
  6. Current and valid ‘HR’ class driver’s licence
  7. Relevant plant operator tickets
  8. Construction Induction Training (White Card)

This position offers a gross salary of $95,537 which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates, and:

  • 11.5% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%
  • A variety of health and wellbeing programmes including a physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $150 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
  • Five weeks’ annual leave and two additional paid days of absence per annum
