About Us

The Livingstone Shire sits nestled along the beautiful Capricorn Coast and covers approximately 11,776 square kilometres, with a population of almost 41,000 residents. Livingstone Shire Council was created in 2013 and employs approximately 350 people.

The Role

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Events, or Public Relations and/or significant work experience in corporate communications and events with a strong emphasis on media and marketing, promotions and/or stakeholder engagement;
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and developing a multi-discipline team;
  • Ability to undergo criminal history screening under the blue card system administered by the Queensland Government; and
  • Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver licence.
