EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 
Temporary Full Time - 2 Years fixed term

THE POSITION: 
Support the Communications and Engagement team, specifically by assisting team members and Our People across AlburyCity in the delivery of digital communications and more directly the development of web content. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist and support the Communications & Engagement Team with projects and tasks associated with the effective delivery of the Engaging Albury Strategy and Implementation Plan, along with AlburyCity’s Community Strategic Plan – Towards Albury 2050.
  • Deliver tactical communications activity that support the internal business units of Council across a broad range of channels including:
    • website updates
    • external communications
    • internal communications
    • digital communications, including social media
  • General administration functions including:
    • Coordinating weekly newspaper print advertising
    • Coordinate information/data/analytics for end-of-month reports
    • Reconcile invoices
  • Answer telephone enquiries, coordinating meetings and maintaining minutes/records
  • This position will rotate through key learning areas within the Communications & Engagement Team:
    • Media
    • Social media
    • Engagement
    • Digital & websites
    • Internal communications
  • Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor, within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
  • Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
  • Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day-to-day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity's Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct.
