We have an exciting opportunity for 2 x Senior Project Engineer’s to join our Project Management Office to supervise project teams and manage allocated projects from the Capital Works Program. 

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of infrastructure and assets that:

• Prioritise infrastructure delivery to accommodate population growth
• Value and protect Cairns’ pristine natural environment
• Enhance community wellbeing, safety and natural disaster resilience
• Make a difference in your community

In this role, you will enjoy undertaking a diverse range of rewarding capital works projects which will ensure that no two days are ever the same – from the construction of new bridges and roads through to the design and delivery of award-winning sporting precincts and parklands or multi storey art galleries in our growing modern city.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant field (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical), or equivalent (Bachelor, Bachelor of Technology or Associate Degree).
• Extensive civil engineering, project and contract management experience in a medium to large multi disciplined organisation.
• Extensive working knowledge and understanding of relevant Acts, Codes of Practice and Standards.
• Extensive negotiation, oral and written communication skills.
