This position is responsible for assessment of applications to the Council under the Roads Act 1993 and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 in accordance with legislation, statutes, codes, Council policy and the delegations applying to the position. You will be required to manage approvals, inspections and reports of construction of civil engineering public infrastructure works arising from development and subdivision applications. The position is temporary with a view to a permanent appointment at a later date to be confirmed.
You will have either substantial practical experience in civil construction supervision, or recognised tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
You will also have:
• Completion of Occupational Health & Safety Induction Training for Construction Work (White Card).
• Demonstrated computing skills, including the accurate generation and completion of documents using a variety of software applications.
• Ability to deal with people in a respectful, helpful, responsive and timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to present appropriate information in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $80,136 gross per annum
+ 11.5% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary (if eligible)
+ annual award increase
