The Organisation

The Central Land Council (CLC) is a representative body promoting Aboriginal rights and provides a number of services for the benefit of traditional owners and other Aboriginal residents of the CLC region.

It carries out its statutory functions across the southern half of the NT. Its members belong to more than 15 language groups. Located in the amazing landscapes of Central Australia, CLC's main office is located in Alice Springs plus several regional CLC offices.

The Staff

CLC employs more than 400 people including local Aboriginal people with expert traditional knowledge to lawyers, anthropologists, accountants, technology and information professionals, and a vast range of trades.

As a Commonwealth Government statutory authority, equipped with modern technology and facilities, the Information Services team is recruiting now for an: 

IS009 - INFORMATION SERVICES OFFICER (training - temp) - 3 days/week for 6 months

Salary CL 5/1 - pro rata $46,512.48

CLC values its records and its people, both need care and development. CLC's Information Services will allow you to develop skills and work experiences in records administration, digitisation & preservation.

This is a role in records with a focus on (digital) records management and digitisation. It is a 3 day per week position for a six month period. The position would suit someone locally with initiative, and who can contribute to a changing environment.

The position is located in CLC's main office in Alice Springs, surrounded by the amazing landscapes of Central Australia.

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
