Full TimeWe are currently seeking a fully qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team and become a valued member of our Infrastructure and Delivery team. You will be required to provide high quality service that ensures the safety and efficiency of operating fleet, that includes graders, rollers, water tankers, utilities, and mowers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet of vehicles and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and address maintenance needs.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts usage and equipment history.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems in diesel-powered vehicles.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
