Salary range: $85,906 to $91,245 per annum + 13% superannuation.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be coordinating our field staff, ensuring the smooth and safe execution of the City’s fire and biodiversity management programs.

Role accountabilities include: 

  • Oversee and coordinate the operational resources for Fire and Biodiversity.
  • Ensure compliance with the City’s safe work procedures and the Work Health and Safety Act at all times.
  • Manage data, business operations, reporting, procurement, safety, and other administrative systems related to Fire and Biodiversity Programs.
  • Assist the Program Leader in collaborating with external agencies on bushfire management issues and actions for a unified approach.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic policies, plans, and service levels for the Fire and Biodiversity Program.
  • Act as the designated Authorised Officer within Wellington Park.
  • Coordinate the field implementation of the annual fire and biodiversity program works.

About you

We’re seeking a candidate with a Diploma or Certificate IV in Natural Resource Management, Fire Ecology, Biodiversity, or a related field. Alternatively, if you have extensive experience and skills in planning and managing natural resource management and field work programs, especially in bushfire and biodiversity operations, along with firefighter qualifications, we want to hear from you.

A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. If you have a positive attitude, enjoy working in a friendly team this role could be perfect for you.
