About the opportunity
In June 2025, Council is launching a new waste service with food and garden bins, marking the most significant change in our waste management approach in 30 years.
We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Waste Services Team on a permanent, full-time basis to spearhead this initiative.
In this crucial role, you will establish and implement the contamination management program, ensuring community engagement to reduce contamination.
You will develop and execute strategies, policies, and educational programs that promote sustainable waste management practices and enhance resource recovery efforts. You will oversee contamination audits, manage team performance, and provide comprehensive reports on program outcomes, while ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
