Angel Seafood is an innovative and organically certified, premium producer of Pacific Oysters, with a genuine goal: to provide fresh, clean, consistently high-quality produce for superior food experiences, while respecting the environment. With plans to grow and transform the oyster industry in South Australia, we are seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals who share a passion for safe, innovative and sustainable aquaculture.

THE ROLE

Currently we have specific role for a Team Leader available in our expanding business across the Eyre Peninsula.

As part of our team, these roles will focus on ensuring production goals are achieved through several daily activities including:

  • Routine husbandry tasks with attention to animal health/performance.
  • Lead and empower a team of Aquaculture attendants and graduates to achieve production, quality, environmental and safety objectives.
  • Troubleshooting of any issues that arise (biological, infrastructure, staff).
  • Operations of equipment (forklifts, grading equip.) and asset maintenance.
  • Quality and HSE compliance linked to our sustainability accreditations (Organic certification, Friends of the Sea, etc.).
  • Liaising between regional production and R&D teams to ensure the flow of operations across the business.
  • Reporting of daily activities including results, incidents and hazards.
  • Supports and supervises the sales grading, freight consignment and despatch, taking responsibility for the shed sales operations and completing orders at Coffin Bay.
  • Managing a team of aquaculture attendants to successfully complete the end- to-end operations on sales days, meeting tight deadlines, sales quotas and achieving outcomes in an efficient manner.
  • Grading of input product for deployment to the farm, helping loading of vessels as necessary.
  • Assists in quality control measures for both inputs and sales to ensure product is delivered within expected quality
  • Lead and empower a team of Aquaculture attendants and graduates to achieve production, quality, environmental and safety objectives.
  • Troubleshooting of any issues that arise (biological, infrastructure, staff).
  • Operations of equipment (forklifts, grading equip.) and asset maintenance.
  • Reporting of daily activities including results, incidents and hazards
  • This position encompasses the characteristics of a dynamic and highly motivated person, able to work effectively with all employees, take leadership and have a strong focus on safety. A motivated individual with a “Can Do” attitude.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You will have proven leadership experience in food processing industry, preferably seafood, or marine, aquaculture, or related qualifications and natural leadership skills.
  • Desirable - Forklift license

REMUNERATION

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
