Lead the Cairns water treatment operator team as we head towards commissioning and operation of the brand-new Draper Road Water Treatment Plant. The new 60ML/d DAFF plant will provide water to the Cairns community from a new source. Experience some of the region’s most beautiful waterfalls as you complete raw water intake checks as part of your weekly duties.

We are now looking for a dynamic and experienced Team Leader with the technical know-how and leadership skills to drive excellence and continuity of supply.

Our ideal candidate will have:
• A Certified Water Operator qualification (Certificate 3 minimum)
• C Class Driver’s Licence
• Proven supervisory skills with a focus on team development, motivation, and productivity
• Expertise in water treatment processes, technology, and regulatory standards
• Ability to think on your feet and resolve issues swiftly to maintain uninterrupted plant operations
• Ability to optimise treatment plant operation to maintain high levels of efficiency
• Ability to organise maintenance for all plant and equipment to maintain production 365 days per year
