Plumber – Multiple Positions Available (Temporary / Permanent)

Salary Range: $71,142.53 per annum (Plus Super, allowances, overtime, and penalties)
Location: Various locations (Cairns region)
Application Close Date: Open-ended (Applications will be held for 6-12 months. Interviews will occur upon suitable application)
About the role:
- Monday – Friday + overtime (Some weekend work and call out duties required – penalty rates apply)

There are multiple Plumbing roles across the organisation in the following positions:
- Water Reticulation Plumber: Work under the direction of our Team Leaders to install and maintain all aspects of our water reticulation network. (Temporary & Permanent Roles)
- Smart Water Meter Plumber Be part of an innovative initiative as we replace mechanical water meters with state-of-the-art smart meters across the Cairns region. Help residents detect hidden leaks early, minimize water wastage, and take control of their water usage. (Temporary Role)
- Facilities Management Plumber: Use your specialist trade skills and experience to support the installation, replacement, and maintenance of Council’s plumbing infrastructure, maintaining and operating over 336 building and facility sites across the Cairns Region. As a Facilities Management Plumber, you’ll work on all aspects of plumbing and drainage, providing an essential service to the community. (Permanent Role)
- Parks Plumber: Enhance the beautiful parks and outdoor spaces in our Cairns community by installing and maintaining all aspects of general plumbing of City Venues assets. Install and maintain Parks Plumbing assets such as irrigation, bubblers, taps, and outdoor showers throughout the Cairns Region. (Permanent Role)
