ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Coordinator Infrastructure, this position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of roads and drainage operational and capital programs. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the transport network, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the delivery of infrastructure programs, including roads and drainage maintenance and capital works.
- Manage staff, contractors, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Monitor and report on project progress, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and cultural heritage regulations.
- Foster a strong customer and community focus on all infrastructure activities.
- Contribute to strategic asset management planning and forward works programs.
- Promote a safe and inclusive work environment, aligned with Council’s WHS policies.
- Provide leadership in staff development, including training, performance management, and succession planning
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrate a caring attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
- Bring a minimum of 7 years’ experience in infrastructure supervision or a similar role, preferably in Local Government.
- Possess knowledge and/or experience in roads and drainage construction and maintenance.
- Have well developed communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Hold a current C Class Open Australian Driver’s License and a White Card (Construction Industry).
- Ideally hold tertiary qualifications relevant to infrastructure (desirable).

- Salary: $113,191.75 - $123,078.59 per annum (Stream A, Level 7–8), plus up to 14.5% superannuation.
