Lead the delivery of capital works and infrastructure maintenance across roads, footpaths, bridges, drainage, and marine assets. You’ll manage a construction team and ensure projects meet high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Service Delivery Lead (Civil Construction) to join our Civil Services team. Reporting to the Service Delivery Lead (Civil), this role works closely with the Asset Maintenance team to plan, coordinate and deliver maintenance and renewal works across Council’s road, footpath, bridge, drainage, and marine infrastructure.

This hands-on leadership role is responsible for the physical delivery of capital works projects and the day-to-day management of a dedicated construction team. You will ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with Council’s quality, environmental and Work Health and Safety systems.

What You’ll Bring:

• Trade / Industry qualification and/or extensive experience in civil

infrastructure, construction or maintenance

• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and develop effective and

practical solutions

• Demonstrated ability to read design drawings/specifications and

prepare job/cost estimates

• Ability to undertake job calculations and take offs

• Demonstrated skills in road construction and maintenance

• Current Queensland “C” class drivers licence

• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
