We are now seeking a qualified and experienced Fitter & Turner to join our team now!

Your Opportunity:
Ensure the upkeep of Cairns Regional Council's water & wastewater mechanical installations and equipment infrastructure. You'll have the chance to be part of the on-call roster and can also opt for additional overtime opportunities.

The ideal candidate:

•    Fitter and Turner trade qualifications.
•    Queensland ‘MR’ Driver's Licence.
•    Enter Confined Space Competency.
•    Experience in on-site repair and maintenance of fixed and mobile plant and equipment, including the operation of a vehicle mounted crane.
•    Demonstrated current industry experience in mechanical maintenance and machining.
•    Extensive knowledge of plant and equipment associated with water transfer and treatment.
•    Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
