Irrigation Controller

Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an Irrigation Controller to manage water operations across a 1,406-Ha almond orchard near Boundary Bend, VIC. Your Role
As a key member of the Sunraysia team, you will:

• Develop and implement strategic irrigation and fertigation plans to optimise water usage and orchard performance.
• Oversee and manage all on-farm irrigation systems, ensuring seamless operations.
• Lead and mentor a small irrigation team, driving efficiency and maintaining compliance with WHS.
• Collaborate with other farm teams to deliver cohesive and effective orchard management.
• Maintain accurate and transparent records of irrigation activities.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for someone who thrives in horticulture and enjoys making a measurable impact. You’ll bring:

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage budgets and track expenses.
• Technical expertise in tree crops to inform irrigation decisions.
• Knowledge of fertiliser handling and safe storage protocols.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach and the ability to work independently.
• Comfort with computer-based irrigation systems and data analysis tools.
