About the opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Compliance Engineering role at the graduate level in the Energy Regulation Branch of the Regulation and Compliance Division.

About us:
The Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) is a lead state government agency overseeing the responsible mining and production of minerals, oil and gas, carbon capture and storage, renewable energy and natural and manufactured hydrogen. One of the key roles at DEM is to effectively regulate these industries through the Mining Act 1971, the Energy Resources Act 2000 (ERA) and the Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act 2023 (HRE Act). This position will work in the Energy Regulation team administering both the ERA and HRE Acts.

Qualifications:
A Degree qualification in Engineering is required.

Remuneration:
PO1 Classification, $67,466 - 82,359 per annum
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, 

Special Conditions:

  • On-going role.
  • Out of hours work and intra and interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
  • A current Drivers’ License is required.
  • DEM encourages flexible working arrangements such as working from home, part time work, job share, compressed weeks and purchased leave. Arrangements are negotiated with the appropriate manager.
