About the role:

In this role, you will provide professional and technical building advice, assess building permit applications, and issue building orders in accordance with the Building Act 2011 and relevant delegations. You will be a part of the City's Planning and Building team and be responsible for monitoring, preparing and a range of strategic and technical documents.

You will be predominately office based, however there will be times when you are needed on site for inspections. As an active member of our team, you'll contribute to a positive work culture and focus on continuous improvement in systems, processes, practices, and performance reporting.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying
• Registration as a Level 2 Building Surveyor Practitioner in Western Australia, or level 3 working towards level 2
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the conduct of planning/building appeals and compliance procedures
