  • This role plays a major part in assisting to maximise collection of all property and other charges levied by Council.
  • The ideal candidate will enjoy providing rates and property information, maintaining Council’s rating and property system and providing helpful and efficient customer service.

About this opportunity

The successful candidate will maintain the rating system of the Council under the supervision of the Rates & Revenue Coordinator.  You will be valued for your knowledge and expertise in computer proficiency in the MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel.  

In this role you will:

  • Receipt the daily download and verification of BPay and internet payments.
  • Prepare and process Land Information Certificates.
  • Maintain accurately and up to date property database from Notice of Acquisitions.

What will you bring

By joining our team, ideally, you will bring:

  • Experience (1-3 years) in rates administration and or general accounting, bookkeeping and reconciliations is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated strong numeracy skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience working within a team and managing competing tasks and deadlines with a positive attitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
