About the Opportunity
Council is looking for a Cadet Technical Officer to join their Works Maintenance team. You will complete a fully paid for Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Civil), and receive on the job mentoring from industry professionals and on the job experience.
This position can be based at any of our major centres across the region (Dalby/Chinchilla/Miles/Tara/Wandoan).
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be:
Assisting the Project Managers is providing engineering support in all areas as required
Undertaking investigation of works and customer requests relating to construction and maintenance operations and strategic planning
Assisting in the preparation of estimates, site investigation, designs, project management, compilation of the 10 year capital works program and systems implementation
About yourself
The successful applicant will have:
An interest in civil infrastructure;
The ability to gain entry into an Associate Degree of Engineering (minimum) OR have already commenced this course at a Tertiary Institution;
Good problem-solving ability; and
Strong analytical and technical ability.
