Full TimeThe Wildlife Ecologist works with a diverse range of partners and networks to develop high quality and practical, scientific evidence-based policies, guidelines and strategies and provides advice to the public on wildlife matters. They provide high level internal advice and represent the department on a variety of working groups and taskforces.
The role works closely with stakeholders to effectively manage native and introduced wildlife and biosecurity issues. It has a key role in planning and facilitating the development of integrated intervention strategies and for raising community awareness and support for wildlife management.
It coordinates, assists, and delivers on:

Degree in the field of science, ecology, biodiversity management, natural resource management (or related field) is required.
