Truck Driver (Patching Truck)

Flinders Shire Council is seeking candidates for the role of Patching Truck Driver to join our Road Maintenance crew.

The Patching Truck Driver is primarily responsible for operating Council’s Patching Truck, however, may also be required to operate other plant and fleet, as directed, across Flinders Shire to achieve Councils Operational and Strategic Objectives. Predominantly based within the road maintenance
team, this role will also be required to work across other teams within Engineering Service

As a representative of Council, demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to a high level of service and continuous improvement in the best interest of Council and the Community are essential.

The position is classified as a Level 5 under the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream B) Award – State 2017.

The annual salary range for this position is $68,117 gross per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

This is a permanent full-time position. The standard hours of work are 6.00am – 3.30pm (38 hours a week), working a 9-day fortnight. (i.e., one day a fortnight is a paid day off).

Where projects require it, the successful candidate may be required to work on a different roster and/or stay in camp while rostered on. (e.g. 10 on, 4 off)
