ABOUT THE ROLE

Council is seeking to appoint a Trainee to support the Open Space Projects Team, to manager and deliver the capital works program for a period of 12 months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is in the Project Delivery Unit within Operations and will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the delivery of annual Capital Works Program to meet delivery timeframes and briefs from various Stakeholders
  • Requisitioning of purchase orders and processing of payment and invoices as required
  • Assisting with providing information packages to enable concept design and handover documents for completed projects
  • Assisting with the preparation of packages to enable the request for quotes and tenders
  • Assisting with the engagement of Contractors and Consultants in accordance with respective Council policies and procedures for the delivery programs
  • Ensuring work is prioritised and carried out within the required timeframes and the deadlines are met
  • Ensuring records are accurate and maintained on Council’s record systems
  • Assisting Project Managers in assessment, appraisal and processing of contract documentation and tender evaluation by site/quality inspections
